Clover and the Guardians of Silverleaf Forest is a personal project inspired from the quiet moments I’ve spent hiking through serene landscapes and of mother nature. As an illustrator, I challenged myself to write and created this world as a love letter to my younger self and the importance of friendship.

These sheets explore the creative evolution of Silverleaf Forest, showcasing the process of developing the atmosphere and signature color palette for Clover and the Guardians.

Each Guardian embodies a unique trait, whether it’s bravery, timid or bashful nature. By coming together for the same purpose, they prove that anything is possible.Serving as a reminder of how friends can uplift, help and for getting us through our "cloudy days."

These sketches capture their personalities as both visual and narrative elements.

This visual exploration was an essential part of defining Clover and the Guardians. I focused on ensuring their appearances resonated with the theme of curiosity and companionship that shaped how they are.

These black-and-white sketches capture the early stages of my creative process. These preliminary drawings explore composition, character placement, and narrative flow, serving as a foundation before fine-tuning the lines and bringing the pages to life with vibrant colours.

It was a process of balancing small, brave spirits against challenges big and small to ensure the characters felt grounded in their environment.
